Hello!
Today I have a technique to share that is using sookwang tape, Elizabeth craft peel offs, distress dry glitter and copics!
I work at Scrapbookers paradise South store and my manager Colleen was playing with this and so I just had to try it out for myself! (I also blamed it on her that I have glitter all over my house:)
This is what I created!
The first thing I did was to cover some white cardstock with the sookwang tape. It comes as small as an 1/8" to as large as an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. I am using a 2" roll as that is the biggest I have right now!
The next step is using tweezers (i find them the easiest) lay the peel off onto the tape. On larger images this can sometimes be difficult. I actually had to use some un-du (AMAZING product) to reposition my peel-off.
The next thing I did was to burnish some "stardust" stickles dry glitter into the sticky sookwang tape.
The next step is to color the outline of your image with copic markers! As copics are an alchol based marker, in order to move the color around I purchased a Adirondack alchol ink fillable pen and filled it with the alchol ink blending solution.
When using this technique the biggest thing to remember is not to fill your pen to full (I am speaking from experience) as well as not to go over the same area too much as the blending solution will eventually remove the adhesive from the sookwang tape.
Look at how it glitters!! So much fun! I cant wait to play with more glitter and peel offs!
Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget to check out the Paradise Pondering blog!
